Translation World Cup: winners announced
In my blog post about two weeks ago, I asked you to vote for my translation in Proz.com’s Translation World Cup.
Thank you very much for voting!
And the winner is…
Now the contest has been ended and votes are counted I would finally share the results.
The winner is Zsofia Koszegi-Nagy from Hungary with an impressive 7891 votes!
Luckily I ended as the best English-Dutch translator. With 312 votes I’m even in the top 40!
My promise
In my invitation I promised to donate € 250 to Kimon, a Dutch charity, if I should win the contest.
Although I’m not the winner of the contest I still want to show my appreciation and share my luck.
That’s why I’ll donate € 150 to the charity helping disabled children in Guinea Bissau.
Transparency is key in this contest. I’ll therefore post more information on my blog soon.
Once again thanks for voting. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my Dutch translations!
Matt
Congratulations on this achievement!
