Thanks for your comments on translation procedures and methods. Translation from one language to other ones must consider the contexts. ok.; a very interesting subject.

Hi, Pieter. Your article has been truly insightful and fascinating! After reading your well-explained article, I can conclude that translation quality, especially in localisation industry, plays an extremely important role in determining whether a product will be successfully known and sold in the market. As I do not have deep knowledge about ‘market share’ information, I want to share my thoughts about localisation. When doing localisation, translators carry out an essential task in making the product interesting and relatable to the target culture/market. Therefore, companies should highly consider translation aspect as a priority. As Anthony Pym states that localisation is more about equivalence (that translators are able to take a product and tailor it to a local market), good translators should be hired to apply this theory. In my opinion, if companies want to maintain its market and gain profit, they should firstly understand the correlation of how translation quality in localisation brings significant impact to the selling of a product. Thank you for sharing your experiences in localising cell phone products. It helps me gain practical ideas about the importance of translation quality in localisation industry.
